Wednesday French Foods Fest! 

Casey, Grandma's Kitchen's co-owner, baker & server,  had the opportunity to be a student ambassador in France when she was a kid and it sparked a life-long affinity for France and its cuisine. Casey went on to minor in French in college and had the opportunity to return to France two more times, once while vegan. Casey and Mike, Grandma's Kitchen's other co-owner & cook, stayed at a wonderful vegan bed and breakfast called the Gentle Gourmet, which was the inspiration behind all of the special events that now take place at Grandma's Kitchen, and toured so many other vegan restaurants while in France. Also while living in New York City, Casey and Mike would go to an incredible vegan French restaurant called Delice and Sarassin. It is with this inspiration that Grandma's Kitchen brings you our Wednesday French Foods Fest! 

Menu

• Appetizer: Escargot made with mushrooms in an herbed butter sauce served on a toasted baguette slice
• Bread: Croissant with Butter & Jam
• Soup: French Onion Soup topped with Rebel Cheese's Gruyere & Parmesean 
• Salad: Niçoise Salad with Sliced Red Potatoes, Green Beans, Olives, Chickpeas, & Tomatoes over Local Organic Mixed Greens from Ever Green Farm CSA & Montour Market
• Main Course: Quiche Lorraine with Rebel Cheese's Gruyere, Shiitake bacon made from Hawk Meadow Farm's shiitake mushrooms, & Shallots; Ratatouille featuring local bell peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, and eggplant; and Lyonnaise Potatoes featuring pan-fried potatoes with caramelized onions & parsley
• Dessert: Crème Brûllée and Chocolate Mousse

All Vegan/Plant-Based: All items are vegan/plant-based and made with love at Grandma’s Kitchen. Menu is subject to change based on availability.

Local Ingredients: Menu features local produce from Ever Green Farm, Montour Market, Muddy Fingers Farm, and Six Circles Farm. Menu also features Crystal City olive oil.

Parking: Ample free lot parking is available. Park and enter where you see the Regal Movie Theater entrances and go up to the Food Court on the second floor. Grandma's Kitchen Arnot Mall is located in the former Friendly's.

Accessibility: An escalator and an elevator are available to access the second floor. The restrooms are accessible and within Grandma's Kitchen on the same floor. Because Grandma's Kitchen is in a former Friendly's, the tables are built in booths. Wheelchairs are able to be accomodated at three of the tables. If you require an accessible table, please indicate this during the event registration process or email us at grandmaskitchenarnotmall@gmail.com.

Beverages: Soda, iced tea, juice, beer, wine, and hard cider will be available for purchase from our bar during the event.

Cancelations: If you need to reschedule or cancel, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help you out. If you pay with PayPal, PayPal retains their fee in case of a refund. 48 hours before the event, we are no longer able to offer refunds because we will be busy cooking and preparing for you. If there is availability, we may be able to switch you to a different seating at the same event. Otherwise, we can offer your meal To Go.
