eSports Team for Grades 3-12 through EliteGamingLive

Hi everyone! 

Our kids, Noel (age 11) and Emry (age 8), would LOVE to participate in an eSports league. We are wondering if there are others in the community who would also be interested. 

We propose that we would partner with EliteGamingLive. EliteGamingLive is for students in grades 3-12. EliteGamingLive pairs a console-based competition style eSports league with an oline STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) curriculum. Students earn points through Game Days and completing STEM lessons to earn the chance to represent their team in a competition playing other gamers from around the country. 

Schedule:

Mondays from 4:30-6:30pm

• October 7 - Game Day
• October 14 - Practice
• October 21 - Game Day
• November 4 - Practice 
• November 11 - Game Day
• November 18 - Practice 
• December 2 - Game Day
• December 9 - Game Day
• December 16 - Tentative - Competition
• Celebration - TBD

Games: 

• Super Smash Brothers
• Rocket League
• Mario Cart
• A sports games that is TBD (FIFA, Madden, or NBA 2K)

STEM Curriculum:

Through the STEM curriculum, students work at their own pace to develop new skills and learn STEM vocabulary that helps them to develop new passions, which could translate into new career opportunities in the future. Completed lessons earn points that go toward earning the chance to represent their team in the championship. 

Game Days & Competitions:

Youth gamers participate in Game Days to earn points that go toward earning the chance to participate in the championship where they can win prizes & glory! Events are live produced with ESPN-style broadcasters commentating and the participants' scores  and standings are tracked. Through participating, students learn healthy competitive rivalry.

Registration required:

• $200 for the fall semester. 
• This will include participation in EliteGamingLive's esports league, practice sessions, access to EliteGamingLive's online STEM curriculum, access to EliteGamingLive's leaderboard, and awards & prizes. It will also hopefully include weekly refreshments, a league t-shirt, and a celebration of some sort at the end of the semester, if funds allow. 
• If there is not sufficient interest to support the league, your registration fee will be refunded. Please note though, if you pay with PayPal, they retain their fee. 

Technology:

• If you happen to have a PS4, a Switch, or a TV that is compatible with a console that you are willing to lend or donate to the league, that would be amazing! Please let us know!

Drop-Off: Parents/Guardians are invited to stay or to drop off & pick up their child(ren) at Grandma's Kitchen. 

Parking: Ample free lot parking is available. Park and enter where you see the Regal Movie Theater entrances and go up to the Food Court on the second floor. Grandma's Kitchen Arnot Mall is located in the former Friendly's.

Accessibility: An escalator and an elevator are available to access the second floor. The restrooms are accessible and within Grandma's Kitchen on the same floor. 

If there is not sufficient interest: If there is not sufficient interest to operate the league, your registration fee will be refunded. If you pay with PayPal, please note that PayPal retains their fee in case of a refund.
